Ruth is an experienced Human Resource Director and Organisation Development practitioner who has worked in the private, voluntary and public sectors in a variety of organisations of differing size and complexity. Ruth obtained a Masters in Organisation Development in the USA in 1988, and has successfully applied the learning ever since, which together with an extensive knowledge of employment law, and invaluable commercial experience gain from over 20 years at British Airways, brings a commercial and pragmatic approach that enables our clients to improve their performance and results.
As organisation cultures differ, solutions need to be tailored to achieve the desired outcome. Interventions may be related to leadership, strategy and culture; team building; talent management and succession planning; change management; organisation design and restructuring; employee relations and engagement; performance management and development systems; HR policies, process and systems; job evaluation and reward systems; manpower planning, resourcing and recruitment; up/down/rightsizing, and HR advice generally on handling individual issues so as to minimise the possibility and risk of an employment claim.
As well as successfully advising directors and Boards, Ruth has managed a number of departments and so understands the pressures of managing change and keeping people engaged through processes which are innately anxiety provoking. Helping top teams to build capability and increase capacity has been a key focus, given increasingly competitive environments in all sectors.
